A weekend well spent

My wife decided to take our daughter on a hotel break to London . . with my credit card, I might add 馃檮

I had the weekend to myself to catch up with a few tasks. One of which was to finish sewing name tags into all of my daughter's school clothes. I got so much into the task that I even put tags into each of her socks . . because she has been known to come back home wearing just one sock 馃槄

All of which was met with scowling incredulity by my fashion-conscious teenager (girls apparently wear their socks rolled down this season) followed by grudging acceptance ("so that means, like, I won't end up with odd socks" 馃ぃ).

I grow more and more like my mother each week . . and I love it!

My dad was always telling me to pull up my socks. In all senses!

@MrsRachelEvans Sound advice!

@SunshineGirl generally yes. But knee socks had to come up to the knee. Not over or below!

@MrsRachelEvans And skirt hems just below the knee!

@SunshineGirl my dad's rule was actually finger tip length and to cover my stocking tops when I was older
