I've had the same crush since middle school

At some point there's a transition from regret to a sincere best wishes for happiness of that one that got away. It can be a slow transition though.

I still think about a coworker from 3 or 4 years ago who obviously liked me but I didn't give in .
I remember the last time I saw him. I was gonna let him know that I was leaving in 3 weeks and say goodbye. Figured I'd tell him as it got closer to that date. He ended up quitting shortly after.

I was like bummer.
If I knew his last name I'd definitely internet stalk him.
I was however able to find a pic of him as I sifted thru the jobs Facebook page. I dug and dug and couldn't find his last name. 🫣

Didn't wanna ask anyone and chase the dude.
But he was definitely different.

My middle school crush is ugly now.
Matter of fact, most of the guys I thought were so cute in school look like grandpa's now. 🤢

Aww… stories like that make me melt. 🥹 My sister is with the same boyfriend she had in high school. They have two kids together. I’m sorry you couldn’t have had a similar story with your high school crush. I’ve never even met the biggest crush of my life in person and I’m still feeling for them, so I get it.

This reminds me .... I was unable to attend our last reunion (the 60th) just a few years ago and asked them to seen pictures of the event. Seeing pictures of some I had crushes on when I was 16 and seeing pictures of them as 78-79 year olds was so interesting ... and enlightening.

My elder daughter is still with the same boyfriend since the two of them became an item in school. Neither has ever dated anyone else and it is impossible for anyone or anything to come between them.

That is sweet, crushes are beautiful things. As long as there is no guilt in profile stalking. What doesn't break the law is fine by me
