Gaza’s oldest church (built in 1115) was bombed by an Israeli air strike a week ago and Israel confirmed responsibility

How ironic that it was not bombed by Hamas.
The Christian Palestinian survivor Ibrahim Al-Souri stated:
“We thought we would be protected by the church but unfortunately the brutal Israeli occupation does not differentiate,” he said. “They have targeted churches, mosques and hospitals. There is no safe place.”
“About 200 children, women, elderly and sick people were taking shelter at the church when Israeli warplanes targeted the building with two raids.”

You can denounce Hamas and also denounce this. Senseless violence is wrong, irregardless the perpetrator.

Wishing you well, my beautiful friend.
@Moon3624 I will pray for you as I pray for many here. And if you ever cared about me at all, I’d ask that maybe you pray for me too. This month has been one of the worst of my entire life, and I have to admit that I didn’t read or be able to make sense of everything that you were posting as you were posting it because I’m on a hell of a lot of medication for my mental illness issues that I’ve been struggling hard with and some of them are very new. The only part last night that was made very clear was you were becoming increasingly more angry and hostile to me… yelling at me, cursing at me, and telling me to suck dick which I still don’t understand why you think I deserved as I was neither mean nor disrespectful to you at all. Anyways, be well. 🦋
@Moon3624 I also didn’t understand what you were trying to tell me about Ireland. I didn’t know the Irish supported the innocent Palestinians but I’m glad they do, as the vast majority are just trying to live their lives in peace and are completely caught in the middle of two bullies that let their war spill out into their lives. It’s wrong, all of it. Although I don’t live in a cave, I have commented on the atrocities that have been perpetrated on innocent Palestinians, including your post about both Muslims and Christians taking refuge from the strikes in a church. You don’t really know all the comments I’ve made in general, so I’m not sure why you are telling me that I’ve been silent. Cause I haven’t.

Reading this back, I maybe should have said “We can denounce” not you. I didn’t mean you specifically but you as in a person can. Obviously I feel that you specifically are against violence, that’s why your anger to me was so confusing. If me saying “you” like I was telling you what to do like I was assuming you don’t already, then I’m sorry. That’s where text fails, I guess. And I was on a lot of drugs, so my wording could have been clearer. I was actually agreeing with your post, though. For the record.

This tragedy goes beyond religion, but into the heart of human suffering.

@SW-User It's all part of the end justifying the means. Once such a concept is accepted then the "ends" of this conflict, its purpose (peace) will have been achieved.

False of course. There will be no final resolution in the future, and certainly not peace. The world will keep on turning, with all its suffering. New losers, new "winners".

Related......living for tomorrow. Believing that this world is only a preparation for the next. All invite betrayal. Betrayal of ourselves, of others, our world.

To live NOW, to recognise that each and every moment is precious, is to refuse all betrayal. To live NOW is not some hippy slogan, it is not easy, it comes at a cost. But I think we must try to see this.

The journey is home.

@SW-User I shall continue to pray for peace and compassion.

And that their should be reconsiliatiin.
