It is a good question, but I think both are true. Thomas clearly always was extremely conservative, but he has devolved over time.

Having had inlaws that were conservative they were actually for him. I really don't know what their thinking on Thomas was. That one was a mystery to me for they died shortly afterwards.

I think most Americans would rather have Anita Hill on the bench instead of Fat Clarence

Nothing worth voting for in that slanted poll. A farce.

No sense in imagining a tragedy. 75 is about right for justices. Most importantly a president should not be over 65 on the day of her or his first inauguration and would be eligible for reelection despite the initial age limit. Both senators and Congress people should be limited to two four year terms. Two years is barely time to unpack a suitcase and six years results in many automatic reelections. Legislative and executive elections should be staggered like the summer and Winter Olympics. @beckyromero

I am talking about establishing a MINIMUM age for SCOTUS. As most (though not all) of them are judges before being being nominated to the Court, a minimum age of 65 should be sufficient to ferret out their opinions on the "law."

Confirmation hearings for the past 40 years have been a joke, focusing on video rental records, pubic hair on Coke cans and nannies.

Robert Bork should have been rejected for doing Richard Nixon's bidding. End of story. Who the f*** should care about whether or not he rented porn videos.

I do NOT favor a Constitutional term limit amendment for Congress. We already have de-facto term limits. They are called "elections."

Now you’re talking nonsense. @beckyromero
