I don't like when people start by asking how I'm doing when I answer the phone at work

I get they're trying to be nice, but it gets on my nerves. Like, you're not calling me to ask about my day, so just get to the point. Maybe I'm just antisocial, lol.

I'm like that, too. I don't really care & I know you almost certainly don't. One can be polite, pleasant even, without asking that.
