The Gospel of Thomas is probably earlier than the canonical gospels but was suppressed by the early church for its Gnosticism. It was one of the most important finds at Nag Hammadi.

I wish there was more information available about the Gnostic Sacrament of the Bridal Chamber. From the little I know of it, it sounds like some sort of tantric sex ritual.

Jesus said: When you unclothe yourselves and are not ashamed, and take your garments and lay them beneath your feet like the little children (and) trample on them, then [you will see] the Son of the Living One, and you will not be afraid.
