I kind of understand but at the same time, I don't understand.

Because I called off work, they write my relative a work note at the hospital, I can take that in to work and get the point excused. Anyway the nurse says to me, well you don't actually need to be here, It's not a life or death situation. Yeah, well to me it is!!

I'm here for emotional support, yes there are others who could be here but I'm the one who makes the sacrifice because I care that much about them.
