DM Limit for New Members

I think it's to cut down on spammers
and people that have been suspended/terminated from coming back and causing mayhem

Anti spam tools, all social media sites have it in one way or another

You should ask the people running the site.

@GolfT2Gz 🤔i agree you with what you say how can you make friends on similar worlds when admin tie your hands . if you message people what will the be the outcome either they will tell politely or rudely they do not want too talk . they will not answer the message or just simply block you 🤷‍♂️

Maybe start by an introduction and see if anyone sends a message to you?

That prompts this question: What if a newbie receives a DM from a seasoned member and they find mutual interests. Does SW stop a good exchange abruptly when the newbie has reached their limit?

because "new" accounts often aren't and without limits it tends to be an abused thing. they are erring on the side of annoying new people over longer term accounts

It’s not necessary to dm to have conversations with multiple posters (as you’re doing here). That said, I hadn’t realized there was now a limit.
