God forbid i should say something nice ...

Like in Irl , understand not everyone gets along here ....

Hell it's a giant melting put of politics , mixed feelings and emotions , different lifestyles and what have you ....

But acting as adults here , and not a bunch of cliques divided up in their own separate institutions of highschool ...is that too much to ask?

I would certainly expect a bit of thought , compromise and censor before taking something nice , even if it was naive , wrong or misunderstood ... Remember , I am talking about someone saying something nice , not slanderous or demeaning ...

And taking that nice , and taking it as an opportunity to smear someones character publicly, or to make it less than it is because it doesn't conform to your line of thinking ...

I get that people may have other history , angles or bent out of shape feelings here. ... But isn't it better to share that in a pm , or in a separate post ... Essentially put thoughtfulness into play ..

I for one am done with posting anything nice about someone here for that very reason ...I am done .

It's happened twice and I wish I learned the first time around ..

I may lose more friends over this .. Because , In fact I already have ...

Just asking , Can't we leave highschool back where it belongs ...in the past .
Unfortunately this place is a microcosm of society where regardless of age, immaturity and pettiness abound. Often very much like high school. It’s just a sad reality but I certainly hope you won’t stop being you because you bring a lot of sunshine to the people here. 🙂

Ty

I don't plan on going anywhere ..

But a little more jaded ..

But I have another rule to add to my book ..

Thanks again,

I very much hope you are here for as long as I'm around ..

I'm calm sweetums ...

First of all if you lose friends because of something nice you posted are they really afriends?

Second there was nothing wrong with your post earlier. I thought it was sweet and touching. It showed compassion towards others.

This person made a post about me when I left on my moment of stupidity and reached out when I came back. Both gestures meant a lot to me.

If you don't like someone...why responded at all. Can't people just ignore it?

I'm not here for a popularity contest nor do I see others as competition. I am just here to be here.

Keep being you.

I totally agree with you on this, there are times its like being back in school which i hated..we're all individuals here and that should be celebrated not inhibited and if anyone has an issue with someone and they can't tell them directly then they should keep it to themselves..👍

Aww sorry. I hope you don't let this sway you from being the nice guy you generally are on regular days.

Politics and high school tends to ruin most online forums. This one included.
Ngl, shoutout posts give me the creeps because people just can't keep their mouths shut when they have nothing nice to say.

Yahhh .. You warned me the last time I did this exact same thing ..... Although something good came out of it as a result.

But really , Should have listened to you rather than the voice in my head ...

Ty for pointing out once again ..

There will be no next time ..

It has happened to me too.
Sadly, that’s why uplifting posts are rare—folks are only too eager to offer rebuttals. 😓

I am really sorry, I missed whatever it was but unfortunately posts with people’s names never end up well even when they are made in good faith.

I'm sorry, Bobby. I know I've been a big part of that myself. It's politics in America mostly that has me like this.
