Celery. I don't know if there is anything special you have to do with them, but they were stringy and taste bitter af!

@WizardofOz

They're the watermelon of vegetables to me.
WizardofOz · 26-30, M
@RenFur Is that good or bad? Because I'm also not a fan of watermelon 😂

@WizardofOz

If anyone was starving and ate as much of either as their stomach could hold, they'd still be starving!

@WizardofOz Only time I eat celery is in soup or chicken salad. Pretty gross by itself. I've heard of people eating it as a snack along with peanut butter and raisins 🤢

@WizardofOz The root goes into chicken soup, that's the only use I have for it.

@CrazyMusicLover I know my mom would put it in potato and macaroni salad and I could taste the bitterness. She also put peas in it but they actually taste really good! Go figure...

@WizardofOz I don’t like it raw but I like to cook with it

@WizardofOz i love celery but you have to peel it lol. The outside layer is very tough and stringy and can be bitterish. Its great peeled and washed with peanut butter raw. Or i like it cooked a few different ways. ETA it's also good raw with sour cream onion dip

@Penny I just looked it up! I can use a potato peeler to do it. Is this common knowledge? I am gonna try it, because I actually have some celery left over from making potato salad. The wife said you don't need to peel it for potato salad, if you use a grater. She said that a grater will leave the tough skin behind. Very interesting.
