What is a good way to cook Brussel Sprouts?

Inquiring minds want to know. I'm thinking a frying pan little oil, little garlic, lots of butter. Many some hot peppers to add some bite to it.

I have two methods.

The lazy way is to microwave them, then lather butter over them and sprinkle with black pepper.

The other way is to slice them, them fry them in butter the way you suggest. I have not tried hot peppers with them, but why not? :)

Roasting in the oven is really nice.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain I will try that! How long do you cook them for?
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@DrWatson Sorry had somethings going on
I just cut in half, cover in olive oil, salt and pepper, then roast in oven at 350 35-40 minutes.

@Spoiledbrat oh sorry you've had heart troubles, it's interesting how some vitamins interfere with medication. I thought you had to lay low because of gas lol
@SW-User Oh lolol 😆🤣
Cut them in half and cut up bacon with them in pan
Butter salt and pepper
But they're good with butter.

The very best way is to toss them directly into the trash, lol

I remember having them once when I was a kid and I almost puked. But I felt the same way about broccoli and I love it now. I keep thinking about trying Brussel sprouts but i didn't know how to cook them.

I steam mine, then i put them in a pan with melted butter and a dash of lemon juice and some salt and pepper. :)

I've cooked them many ways
my favorite is to stir fry them with bacon
you can add small bits of granny smith apple
top with a little gorgonzola cheese
drizzle mine with honey then dip in cayenne pepper a sprinkle of salt at 12 minutes in a 375 degree air fryer. shake halfway through cooking

If you have an indoor grill, toss them in a bowl, coat them with olive oil, a little garlic powder, and a little salt, then grill.

In butter with herbs until they are caramelised and chewy
DailyFlash · 56-60, M
I like to cut in half and roast with bacon and balsamic.
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
I like a nice cheese sauce with Serrano peppers 👍
Penny · 46-50, F
just plain cut in half and steamed with salt and pepper
I either steam or boil them then serve them cold with olive oil and lemon.
