Is there a problem with freezing meat? Or freezing cooked food to eat at a later date?

I'm wondering if this is a poor person thing or something.

I generally buy in bulk to save money since I need to budget, and it saves me time not having to shop for food daily or weekly.

Is this not normal?

No,it's certainly not a "poor person" thing at all,it's sensible food management - food that has been frozen should be consumed once thawed, within a day or so at most.
