Here is a hypothetical question:

You are a stay at home parent of 2 children ages 3 and 5. They were playing on the swings in the backyard, possibly out of eyesight of you. And the 3 year old breaks his arm. It's possible the kid is in so much pain he doesn't yell out... How long would it take you to realise your childs injury?
I never took my eyes away from the kids. My daughter hit the ground and I said "oh crap, you broke your arm.". She was always pretty calm - she asked "is that my humorous bone?". We put her back in the stroller and went to the ER. It's better not to be too distracted. I'm glad I didn't have to drive there.

Id prolly be checking in on them every 5 minutes or so even just a shout out the door. 2 questions. 1. Is there a window. And 2. does the 5 year come to let me know?

At the age of three they were never out of sight for more than a minute or so.

I am very sensitive, emotional and passionate so within 3 minutes of me finding out (which would be in 15 mins of knowing that my son is injured) I would arrange medical assistance.
