Would you invite your older kids boyfriends and girlfriends into your home and tell them to make themselves at home?

And not to shy away from getting themselves a drink or something to eat? What would you do? My daughters boyfriend sometimes cooks us some really delicious suppers, my son has a new girlfriend she's shy, I'm encouraging her to come out of her shell and to make herself comfortable.

A steady, long term boyfriend or girlfriend...sure!
Sure, but they wouldn't be staying round for the night. Thankfully my wife is Zambian and they have that philosophy anyway.

You know, as per God's word.

No, because I think it's odd.

But that's because that sort of thing wasn't allowed when I was growing up.
Couldn't even talk to a boy on the phone

Yes! Helps us to communicate properly and keep a tab on things. He's not allowed in her bedroom, but that is her rule rather than ours 🙂

If it is a clearly long term relationship then yes

Something without a lot of toxicity, where both parties are happy, I would stand behind that
