Were you forced to serve a Saturday morning detention in high school with 4 kids from different walks of life from your own?

My highschool tried to do this with kids in trouble of dropping out one of the girls hung herself at the bleachers and they stopped the reach out program. True story, and sad.

Naw everyone at my school treated me like I was a future mass shooter.

Detention was the adolescent version of jail.
One guy at my HS must have been like 25 years old, he had a full beard and probably a couple felonies. He was a regular in detention.
Funny cause I went to a mostly "preppy" high school full of j0cks and Karens.
I imagine all those guys are probably 100 pounds overweight and bald at this point but still trying to be "cool". 😄

Nope. My school didn't do that. Most of the teachers were probably still drunk from the night before.

No I had swimming lessons every Sunday morning followed by swimming races, in the freezing cold.

i only had in school suspensions. Detentions never happened

I wouldn't go. Luckily no cell phones and parents worked after school so we're rarely home to get the phone call. I would skip them until it turned into an in school suspension, get the back of the hand from Mom or dad over it but I meant no weekends at school and while at school sitting alone on a room having my homework brought to me to be done before I left. It was a pretty perfect deal to be honest.
