Who has actually met someone they got to know online?

I never have, and chances are I never will. My "online life" is, and will always be, strictly separated from my "real life".

I went out for dinner with a friend from EP when I was visiting NYC once. That was the only time. We lost touch when EP shut down.

I have met a few from dating sites and that never worked out.

Once. It was very nice. Nothing happened except a very pleasant visit.

From Facebook: yes - and we're still friends 12 years on. From EP: I have a friend I still talk to on the phone from time-to-time..... From SW: likewise (but more usually messaging on WhatsApp)

The difference is your making the time to meet with a person who seeking the same as you.

I have made and met couple of friends from other sites. But never went beyond friendship.
Hopeful to meet someone from SW.
