As things go.... it wasnt hard to clean up . Honey is WAAAY worse.

I was in the lounge and it blew coffee everywhere.

The funny thing was .....she was trimming the cats claws at the time.

I shouldn't laugh . She got sprayed with hot coffee grounds and clawed by traumatized cat all at the same time 😂

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout ugh...dont start me. I spent two weeks cleaning this place before i moved in - and that was AFTER it had been [i]'professionally' [/i] cleaned .

I may leave my shoes everywhere, but ive known of people who set their air fryers on fire coz they never ONCE considered it MIGHT need cleaning 🙄

@OogieBoogie if she didn't use the filter basket, then that's what caused the pressure relief valve to get clogged/blocked.

@Ontheroad oh she used the basket, jist not the metal filter that goes over it . I wonder if dome grains got in the bottom and clogged the valve 🤔

I grabbed a mit and doused the whole pot with cold water to reduce any pressure left and threw it in the sink . And the valve seems fine .... although i am yet to road test the pot with just water.

@OogieBoogie it's hard to tell, but it has to be that the valve didn't release the pressure necessary to keep it from blowing.

@OogieBoogie I actually love that cup! I’ve known about pour over for quite awhile, but just got into it over the winter. I don’t think I’ll ever go back now. As long as the water temp is right and you use fresh ground beans, it makes the perfect cup every time

I relish my coffee.
And have experimented with trying to learn to brew the perfect cup.
But a fresh pour beats all brews.
Its mellow and intense with no bitterness.
Amd never too hot .

Im not going back either i dont think .

Plus this cup is so simple. Eveything packs into itself and the drip catcher becomes the lid.
Its perfect🤗

Its a T2 mug with infuser.

I love it to grate my own fresh ginger tea in as well.

Not often a simple gimick changes my life - but i LOVE this mug. It never gets back on the shelf - its in perpetual use 😏

@geoam1 i poured cold water over it to reduce the pressure and threw it in the sink.
To be honest - i haven't checked it to see if its working.

Its a pretty basic design. The valve might be done for but ill check tomorrow.
