Solar Eclipse

Anyone in the path of totality on April 8th? I'm ssooooo close!
We will be traveling to totality. Here's my photo of a partial eclipse from 2017. A few sunspots might be faintly visible.

@ElwoodBlues Cool, you are actually travelling! Where are you going?
@JimboSaturn If I lived close to totality, I would definitely pick out a stretch of road or highway rest stop or a parking lot or something where i could go experience totality. A total eclipse where you see the corona is such a strange alien thing that it's worth a couple hours drive.

P.S. to take a photo of the partial eclipse you need a heavy duty solar filter. To take a photo of totality you don't need filters, but it helps to have a telephoto lens, say somewhere in the range of 200-400mm equivalent. A compact zoom camera would do the job nicely.

@ElwoodBlues I am going to travel. I just live about 1 1/2 hours from the path of totality. I have special glasses I got in a astronomy magazine.

First I heard of it. Awesome. It'll be total solar eclipse. Those are the fun ones.

Only partial totality
I am apparently the furthest I can get from the path of totality while still being in North America.

Yep. I would be excited but it just means more grinding in less time.
