@Iwillwait Praying and meditation did help me with addressing the addictions, So far I don't have the urge to drown my self with alcohol.

Small goals is a good way to start. Something that you can practically finish at the moment. So you need to look for your purpose at the moment. For eg. 'getting out of debt'. Now you lay out a mind map of possibilities. Eg 'making and selling' or 'job'. Lay out your skill set. Meanwhile, you could enroll for a food stamp program till you're more stable. Or disabilities while you get yourself together.

Now for 'job', you could break that down to 'applications', 'my contacts' and 'contact building'. While you build contacts, do volunteer work/internship for a predetermined duration to help with your CV, and make contacts there to refer you to other employers. Meanwhile reach out to any contacts you already have and ask what they have to offer. You have nothing to lose.

You could even break those goals down further.

Celebrate each achievement with a little something in budget. Maybe a Donut. Or a thrift store haul. Whatever helps with your dopamine.

Starting is extremely hard. But it's very very possible!!!

♥️ Go to NA groups every day to get support and intensive outpatient groups (most insurances have intensive outpatient groups daily, medi-cal too. And you can work and go to these after work for an hour, they have trained addiction specialists. Good for you that you want to be healthy! Take good care of yourself, eat healthy (lots of protein for depression, and get on zoloft or prozac they are very effective for depression.) Also have a fun hobby and make new friends. Drop your old friends who are addicts! You can do this! I will pray for you!

Review your debts, income and spending habits.

Cut out any unnecessary spendings, and aggressively pay off your debts.

Go into full eco mode. Live below your means and make the appropriate sacrifices.

@SW-User Thank you , if i do that i can be good in a years time.

@RadiantRose great, definitely do that. Once you finally pay off your debts, open up a savings account and spend the next six months putting that money you would have otherwise put towards your debt into that account for emergencies.

Eventually, you should be able to start funding your retirement account and treating yourself as a reward... think.. a nice vacation or spa week.

Write down things you want to see grow in your life. Put it up somewhere where you see it every day.
