Bumble BFF is weird

@iamnikki I agree... everyone is typically with someone else. It really sucks. No one seems to be friendly either to really start a convo with a new potential friend. My friends and I have grown apart and I don't have any now IRL. It doesn't feel great. But not much I can do. I do have an old friend from elementary school who wants to meet up,,she was my best friend. i have not seen her in 30 years!! I am nervous though; she has a job , had a fiance... while I am unemployed, and too much anxiety to date. I feel like a failure in many ways. I feel she would look down on me :( But anyway, I know your feeling on friends... people have said on SW too before- it is hard to find friends as an adult. ughhh.

@Coralmist how did you reach her after 30 years?
When I look back on it, I feel I've never really had friends, just situational acquaintances. As a kid, I'd hang with the other kids on the block, but there was never any deep conversation going on, not even as a teen.

If you meet someone at work, you don't really talk to them once you leave work.

@iamnikki We saw each other FB. She has invited me out twice but I did hint to her I have debilitating anxiety. I am working hard in therapy to finally realize i am enough for anyone. But when you have issues that can be extensive you dont feel enough. I truly hope i can do it because we were good friends as kids.
