I always try to be strong and keep moving

Sometimes I struggle but I don’t want anyone around me to know, especially since having kids

I am ok, but sometimes I just feel like I’m not enough/doing enough. Sometimes I feel sad about where I’m at, like I should be juggling it all with ease, and have energy and motivation to do much more.

Same here. I could have written this myself. I know I'm not enough but all i can do is keep trying

A friend taught me a great thing to do...
When feeling like that, sit yourself down and count ten things about you that you like.

He helped me a lot. The first few times he did it for me. I was grateful as we did a 3 days hike together. So much came out for both.

But he counted the things for me... And every now and then, when I remember, I count them for myself.
Try it.

@WaryWitchWandering Just don't worry about a thing. What can you add to yourself by worrying?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@Matt85 no she doesn't. she needs you. are you too busy to fold a friend's laundry and organize her knick knacks or something?
Can’t be strong all the time. You need to lean on someone sometimes.

Someone told me once that we would never hold our children to a standard of perfection, berating them for every mistake, or criticizing them for each opportunity they didn’t take. So why do we do that to ourselves?

I feel this. I try to be there for others but then don't want to burden anyone else with my problems. And then I judge myself for having problems in the first place because i should be able to do better.

I think it's just part of the modern human experience

@ViciDraco so it seems 🫤

you will be fine you have a great family to help you along in life.
once your kids get old enough i'm sure you will talk about your struggles with them.

they will understand & provide you with support.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@curiousmind001 you didn’t, I just never want my children to feel they have to help me carry my baggage… it makes for a pretty shit experience as a child
curiousmind001 · 26-30
@WaryWitchWandering i can understand that. as i had shit experience as a child myself.
curiousmind001 · 26-30

I understand, i pray for strength and understanding for you, i don't want anyone around me to know either....🥰
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I feel exactly the same way sometimes
You also need to realise how much you do and give yourself a break. The only expectation we should live up to are our own.
I have those moments too sometimes
Or at least, duck.

No way I could do what you do, or any mother, for that matter....for what that's worth.
