I hate having to block members I thought were dear friends,

I had to block one yesterday because she snapped out on me for no reason why I was explaining to her the importance of jury duty. She had better hope that if she's ever wrongly accused and charged for a crime she didn't commit, that she doesn't get a jury as apathetic as she is.

of course jury duty is important. it's part of our judicial system. one may not like having to be on one but it's still important nonetheless. during covid my buddy got notice to do jury duty. but it was a high profile case and the trial would last months. he was not looking forward to it. but since he was laid off because of covid his wife insisted he did it and not try and get pardoned. in the end it never came to trial (i can't remember why) so he didn't have to go....and yes i've blocked one or 2 people whom i thought were friends...it sucks

@NativePortlander1970 personally i'd find it interesting. in high school i took law as an elective course. a couple of times we went on school trips to actual court cases. i found them interesting

@beermeplease TV and movies don't do them justice, and as much as I'm no fan of Tom Cruise, A Few Good Men had the best courtroom show down between him and Jack Nicholson, My Cousin Vinny was good too.
