Did you have to suffer before you could see the beauty of the world or have you always seen it?

It's on my heart thismorning: The meaning of suffering. I know it's inherited and it's our fault, collectively, but you sometimes you just think I'm not my forefathers, why should I suffer for what they did? I guess you cant escape inheritence, we inherit good and bad together. What are your thoughts?
