There's no doubt we've made some amazing advances in some areas, but some awful steps backwards in others.
Politics and economics have to be better.
We can't afford to live the next 100 like the last.
Massive loss of life, animal and human due to outbreaks of things old and new alike. Alongside old favourites like war and religious differences.
If we don't get a grip on climate change that will see mass migration like we haven't seen before.
That puts stresses on availability of water; fuels; food; and other things we can't imagine at the moment.
All irrelevant of course if we finally lose the ozone layer altogether, then it won't matter who or where you are.

@Picklebobble2 You raise a very interesting point about climate migration, people see what happens with Kiribati and they think it's a one off. But climate change will have devastating effects on the communities with the least resources to mitigate it.

There will have to be a Universal Basic Income as AI replaces most White Collar Jobs. Skilled Labor will be the best paying high prestige jobs.
A golden age of Craftsmanship will emerge as AI creates perfect products at a cheap cost. Creating a premium for handmade creative things.
The birth rate will decrease as the life expectancy increases.
Capitalism as we know it will be gone as the billionaire class were relieved of power.

@ArishMell that's part of my rationale. Manufacturing will still need people. Though non-labor jobs are at the most risk of being replaced or deemed obsolete.

For one thing all those computers will need programming! For another, people will still want human contact in many areas.
And what will all those people do who no longer have any employment opportunities because computers have replaced them to such a huge extent?
The work will change though - some might no longer be needed however it is carried out, new fields of work might appear.

Phone customer service could be AI you wouldn't know it. Most human contact jobs would be sales.

For the first time in American history, Americans will attempt to vote into the Office of the President, a 176 year old man who will finally get a chance to finish his magnificent wall that separates the USA from Mexico. And knowing how Americans think, that old man will most likely win the US Presidency again 100 years from now!
