I'm a Pisces and so naturally love water. I live near a beautiful lake and love walking my dog Rian there. For the peace and serenity it gives, I always know I'm my rightful place.
An evening on the lake as night creeps over the island. The fisherman casts his fishing rod, the lake is smooth and clear like a mirror. I'm letting myself sink in, pulling down into the deep. Peace fills me, and hope, may the fish be away and see the new morning.
I'm a full-time caregiver, so I can only escape for a few minutes at a time. I usually just go down the road to the Quick Chek, and linger as long as I can over a cup of coffee.
@Heartlander I call it my sanity break. I felt guilty for spending the money at first, but it's cheaper than a shrink, and I can't help anyone else if I'm burned out.
To the lake east of the city. It is a large lake and there is one place where not many people go, we can drive and park close to the lake. There’s one picnic table and we have brought chairs to sit out and walk the scenery, nature, a few people fishing, and boats going past the area. On hot days a gentle breeze about an hour or hour and a half before sundown cools the area down really well.
My favourite walk. I took this picture early spring 2023. Was a very warm evening. I put the words on this picture myself on an Instagram story and then I got it printed on to a picture block.
