Foundation is key so is the constitution. However unfortunately we've drifted from those principles and made a mess.

I'm not American but I was literally just wondering how the government founded on "no taxation without representation." devolved into "no taxation for billionaires." I don't understand how a nation that used to make it's own products is now overrun with Chinese products. But as I write this I realize that the answer lies in my initial question. The government allowed itself to be sold to billionaires.

Billionaires make certain that the laws favor them. What was disguised as globalization and an open market became a way for billionaires to hijack the US economy. Ask yourself this, why would a government that cares about its people allow American companies to export what should be American jobs to 3rd world countries? Just look at Apple for example. It's an American company that exported what should be US manufacturing jobs to China. Americans are paying high prices for cheaply produced items. If Apple products were manufactured in America the price would make sense because it would be high in order to pay US citizens to manufacture the products instead of Chinese citizens. The reason there are no jobs is because the government gave them to billionaires. All the money they're hoarding is a result of not having to pay American people to make American products.

The Billionaires replaced the British monarchy.
America is a billionaires' colony. Government officials are corrupt. Money, not love for the people is what drives them. This is true for most if not all governments around the world.

America has enough Natural resources to not depend on other Countries, but trading with other countries is good for our economy.
