I was taken to a rooftop bar last night and the bartender had no clue what he was doing.

My friend though it would be fun to go and while the view was nice and I enjoyed his company the drinks were off. My friend bought a round of lemon drop shots and it looked and tasted nothing like a lemon drop shot. I had to instruct the bartender how to make a dirty shirley for another patron. He asked me if pomegranate was ok and I told him no it has to he grenadine. Especially charging what they did for drinks it better be right. I ordered a cosmopolitan and the ratios were pretty off. I was very tempted to boot the guy out and take over.

I went to a wedding vow renewal thingy at a fancy restaurant last week. Ordered a gin & soda and got served gin with Coca-Cola.

Turns out the bartender called in sick last minute and the servers were just trying to do their best without a bartender. Life in the service industry can be kinda chaotic sometimes.

@Dex1981 Oh dear but they were trying and I respect that.
I don’t blame you!! Someone needs to teach him how to do his job.
@nonsensiclesnail I think those are kind of extra...[goes to my cave (only nose visible)]
@nonsensiclesnail (or snout rather)
@orioninthenight *scratches ears*

@deepblacknothingness when that happens to me at a place that is trying to be upscale, I'll generally give them one more shot a couple months later, and if it's still the case, not anymore
