can a job make you keep your phone in a locker?

I don’t know how they can do that when a phone fits in your pocket. It would have to be a top security area. But places of employment are having problems with employees using their phones on the job.

@gamingnerd I don’t think it’s wise. What if someone comes in there with a gun and starts shooting up the place? That’s what we learned in safety training at the university in case of an active shooter. They encouraged us to keep our phones on us and go somewhere that we could lock ourselves inside and call for help.

@gamingnerd Especially with it being a retail shop, that sets you up for robberies and all kinds of people coming in off the street.

@gamingnerd that's exactly why I don't care about piddly rules like that. Lol you're not gonna keep me from my lifeline (phone) so don't try.

they can, but as long as you don't bring it with you (leave it in your care, etc.), then they can't make you bring it in to the locker.
