I helped my coworker get into my department and now I want him out.

I helped him into this department which is a pay raise. And when he got here, I volunteered to train him. I did that for months. Then, after [big]months[/big] of him being incredibly slow at his job, I decided to be somewhat assertive and politely tell him, in a roundabout way, to move faster... He laughed at me. After that night, I seriously considered not training him anymore since he won't take me seriously and maybe doesn't even want me training him.

Last week was the nail in the coffin. He flat out refused to sign off on my car (I had it serviced while I worked) just because he would have to wait another 10 minutes... he was scheduled to work another 45 minutes.

Let me repeat that. He wasn't willing to wait 10 minutes and then type some numbers into a computer [big]so I could legally get my keys and drive home that night.[/big] I trained him for months but I guess 10 minutes of his time isn't worth me going home.

So I'm done with him. If he fucks up, he fucks up. I'm not gonna bail his selfish ass out.
