At my workplace we write down name, reg and state their Business for being there, what time they're in. But there is more, like car transporters make sure they're at correct address, if they are ask for their identity, how many cars they are dropping and how many will b on transporter when they exit? Collect paperwork BEFORE they exit! So you will b kept very, very busy throughout the day. Get ALL exiters paperwork and make sure it's proper i.e. ticking off Reg on transporters t make sure they have correct cars loaded on.
In UK for Security you will require SIA badge. Another badge is SIA Monitor! With this u can sit and watch CCTV Live footage.
