The sooner you tell them the better.
Although they can't discriminate against you for being pregnant, they'll find another reason to terminate you if they feel you're not trustworthy.

Thank you!! <3@LucyFuhr

@Brassm0nk3y I went through a similar situation with one of my former employees and although I totally get why you and she would choose not to disclose; she put me in a difficult position.

I hope it all works out for you 🤞
Brassm0nk3y · 36-40, F
@LucyFuhr that makes complete sense. I can totally understand how it would be an inconvenience to an employer. I plan to disclose it. If all else fails maybe they’ll have an open mind to working together after my maternity leave.

Tell them ASAP . You should have already told them
Brassm0nk3y · 36-40, F
During the interview process? I’m not legally obligated to do that plus I didn’t even know if the job would be a fit@MURD3RM0NK3Y

You, should have told immediately

Tell them immediately. If they really want you they won't care.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Yes legally you don’t have to disclose if you are pregnant. Tell them the situation when they ask you to fly.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Polaroid taped to his or her computer screen.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
After doing this
You'd have thought they would have figured it out
MrAboo · 36-40, M
Be direct about it.
Ganon · 26-30, M
You're asking a bunch of socially inept people. Also, mentioning you're seven months pregnant is something you should've done during the interview process. That's pretty much common sense ngl
I think you should tell them it’s better to be upfront and honest.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
IDK but I'd like to know the outcome.
sassypants · 36-40, F
You have to tell them immediately. If you choose not to tell them and then they found out after it makes you seem dishonest and it will affect you moving forward. I also would not fly no matter what the doctor said. Its still a risk.

@swirlie again. This isn’t fraudulent. Fraudulent would be not disclosing this at all.. you are making assumptions I couldn’t fulfill obligations. I have subcontractors I work with and other long term jobs, 3 actually who are continuing as normal with the knowledge that I pregnant and have help to fill in the gap while I’m gone for this short period of time. Again, could you please leave the thread? You’re just hurling negative and accusatory, untrue stuff. Yes it’s harassment at this point because I’ve asked several times for you to stop
Brassm0nk3y · 36-40, F
@swirlie this is supposed to be a safe place to share opinions and ask questions without being harassed and ridiculed. You’ve shared your opinion. We all know how you feel. Why do you continue to berate and hammer in the negativity? Obviously we disagree. This is my thread and safe space and there is zero purpose for you to continue to act this way towards me or accuse my story of being untrue or idiotic.. you’ve already done that. Now move on.
