@TexChik
Many corporations (as well as some military leaders) require their execs to read the Art of War. Many methods directly apply to the boardroom. Was just curious. A favorite is 'do not interrupt an adversary when he is making a mistake.'

@PatKirby Thats always a good plan. My daddy was a colonel in the Marines before he retired
SW-User
@TexChik nah I think you did good

uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Maybe it's time to look around?
SW-User
@uncalled4 yeah
PatKirby · M
@SW-User Take it from me, if a person has started thinking about being unappreciated at work, it's past time to be looking for another job. There's plenty of jobs that respect and appreciate you. I hear higher salaries are to be had these days.
SW-User
@PatKirby appreciate that
SW-User
No ,not at the moment
Every now and again… but then out of the blue they do something especially nice for me and I feel very appreciated. At the end of the day, I’m just supplying a service.

MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
@NoGamesTolerated nothing until the 30 th I start a course in counseling I don’t know if I should do it
@MonaReeves86 Girl.. don’t waste your money. Make sure it’s something you think you will enjoy doing. 🙂

Enough to consider leaving. The reasons for the recent Great Resignation include low pay and lack of respect among others.
SW-User
@PatKirby pay alone would give me enough reason
Human1000 · M
To be honest, I've never looked to my job for validation. I have nothing in my office, and am ready to go as soon as they fire me, or something better comes along.
SW-User
@Human1000 fair enough
fun4us2b · M
Always and forever, but who cares? Work for yourself, take the high road, then once you’ve achieved perfection, move on with head held high….
SW-User
@fun4us2b well it’s a tough economy out there of course I care
fun4us2b · M
@SW-User The owner only cares about getting the work done - unless you're kicking ass - he/she doesn't give a crap about you...trust me, I'm an owner - all these guys that tell me their hardship stories, but then show up late, act lazy and complain then leave early...really? I don't want to know their problems....you work, I pay...

In short, make yourself valuable and irreplaceable - then the money will come...

@RogueLoner I think that’s why farmers are happier than if they work a job.

Most days. Par for the course for a teacher.... unappreciated by admin, students, parents, society...
SW-User
