When people think birth control is used to end a pregnancy

Me: using birth control to shorten my menstrual cycles 😂
exexec · 61-69, C
When we were dating, my wife had bad menstrual events, and her doctor (or her father who was also an OB'GYN) prescribed birth control pills that helped with her periods. I didn't know they were birth control pills, otherwise I might not have worried about her getting pregnant.

@exexec My sister did the same thing.

I have an IUD just so I can have somewhat of a way of life.

I’m 53 and still on birth control because I have adenomyosis. Without it, I’d bleed heavily all the time

@Jenny1234 are you anemic? I think I may have uterine fibroids

An IUD is a form of birth control, and it works by terminating a fertilized egg.

Some of the makers of plan B and plan C pills, consider their drugs birth control pills.

But yes, some women use active birth control pills to shorten or eliminate their periods.

@Montanaman lol that too

Yep, most women take it for the bad cramps or to reduce their cycle
Our generation was sent away pregnant and some came back without the kid, but there's some we never saw again. It's not that long ago.
