Do you use/used tampons or pads?
I mostly use tampon on 3rd and 4th day because the flow is less and i find it hygienic and comfortable. But first two days I always prefer pads
Belladonna · 41-45, F
Some men have periods, too.
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 i have reported this comment. Don't spill your hatred in my post
Belladonna · 41-45, F
@SW-User I don't know. It's the conservatives that tend to do this... Guess I'm too progressive. Which is funny, considering I consider myself to be moderate.
SW-User
@Belladonna Fck these people. They r shitheads and too busy passing opinions on other people for their gender identity preference.
helenS · 36-40, F
Pads – I don't like the feeling of a tampon inside.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Slade Oh yes, that famous green string...
Slade · 56-60, M
@helenS although it makes good dental floss 👍
helenS · 36-40, F
@Slade 😬
Lilymoon · F
Pads...don't want a wad of cotton stuck up my puss. 😦 lmao
SW-User
@Lilymoon You girls influenced me to take it out today lol
antonioioio · 70-79, M
I steer clear off the lot 😂
Belladonna · 41-45, F
Anyway, to answer your question, I use pads because I'm afraid of toxic shock syndrome. >.<
SW-User
@Belladonna there is @gol979who is saying men don't get periods. Lol please shed some light as you corrected me on it today
Belladonna · 41-45, F
@SW-User Link me?
SW-User
@Belladonna i was under the impression that trans men get periods. But now I'm getting confused
Degbeme · 70-79, M
gol979 · 41-45, M
"Some men". Sorry, men dont have periods
SW-User
@SW-User omg
gol979 · 41-45, M
@SW-User you were incorrectly "corrected". Trans men cant have periods
SW-User
@gol979 🤷‍♀️
DarkSideoftheMoon · 31-35, F
Tampons because i feel cleaner and i hate the gush feeling randomly throughout the day, expecially if i sneeze or cough.
SW-User
@DarkSideoftheMoon lol u made me imagine it

SW-User
@DarkSideoftheMoon You know what i imagined 🤣
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Always pads, there are some weird times when I think about giving a cup a chance but that didn't happen yet. I never even tried tampons yet.
SW-User
@CrazyMusicLover You mean sticking nothing at all up there? Ask me personally, i don't too unless it's my toy 🤣
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@SW-User Nothing at all. That's correct. 😂
SW-User
@CrazyMusicLover ur a cutie 😘
zorroo · 56-60, M
just reading some interesting comments🤷‍♂️
Sorry, but why did you say some men?
SW-User
@FreeSpirit1 one guy corrected me earlier saying trans men get periods too.

I had no idea 🙄
SW-User
Pads.
Tampons only if I will be swimming but I don't particularly like tampons. I feel odd with it. 😂
SW-User
@SW-User haha u scared me so much that i started to feel uncomfortable wearing it right now. U influenced me to remove and i felt relieved 🤣
SW-User
@SW-User seriously though, tampons are not as healthy as ads would have you believe. Pads are the lesser evil of the two.
SW-User
@SW-User ok luv I'm gonna use pads from next month. Ok?
WandererTony · 56-60, M
On the contrary, tampons are useful for heavy flows when pads might not suffice and cause stain. Especially if you are travelling.
SW-User
@WandererTony Haven't you read the FDA guidelines? Never to use high absorbing one because of TSS. Hence it is better when the flow is not crazy
What do u know about all this? Lol 😂

Pads, never got on with tampons
SW-User
@Beautywithin Horror stories such as it getting stuck inside or people forgetting it and dying of toxic shock? I honestly cant figure how someone can forget to take it out. In the end we do know something is inside and needs to be taken out on time.

Every tampon has a life and we cant leave it overnight. I mostly use tampon on my 3rd and 4th day when the flow is less. First two days i prefer pads
Beautywithin · 36-40, F
@SW-User both! I read one lady forget it was in, months went by and she went to doctors because she was getting an unpleasant smell down below the doc pulled a tampon out, how can anyone forget?! Not that id forgot just don't find them comfortable but i started period at 11 and im almost 36 so im just used to pads!
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@Beautywithin urban myth maybe... Hard to forget it's there
MellyMel22 · F
Only tampons. OB brand only, otherwise they hurt.
SW-User
@MellyMel22 WTF! I use the same brand. But it still pricks me.

U mean these right?

MellyMel22 · F
@SW-User Yes and almost always regular so I can change them often and not feel much 😅
SW-User
@MellyMel22 Me too regular. And exactly for the same reason
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
Thankfully that ship's sailed.
Prior it was tampons.
SW-User
@Harriet03 never uncomfortable? Like dryness or pricking?
iamelijah · 26-30, M
Pads. I don't like that thing inside me. It's uncomfortable.
SW-User
@iamelijah i read so many comments that it's uncomfortable inside that i actually removed it lol
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
If I had surgery to have periods. I would use Flex Tape.
SW-User
SW-User
@SW-User Does it prick or make u uncomfortable? How when ur coughing or sneezing? Does it feel like it will slip out? I often face this dilemma
SW-User
@SW-User not at all, once they’re in properly you can’t feel them
SW-User
@SW-User I don't feel them until i sneeze lol. I always have this fear it will come off but its so deep inside that there is absolutely no chance it will come off.

Even when i removed it right now, it took an effort to pull it off. Dunno y i have that fear lol
itsok · 31-35, F
just the cup
Same as you tbh. My periods are heavy, so dont feel safe on days 1-2 with just a tampon
REMsleep · 41-45, F
Tampon on 1st day only if Im very busy and will be working all day because when Im on my cycle I like to wash with soap and water more often but if its going to be a long day then I can't get home.
So tampon is less messy plus pad. Pad rest of days.
SW-User
@REMsleep don't u guys get V wash there? Specifically meant for washing during periods? I do the exact opposite. Pads initially and then tampon but it also depends if I'm home or out
caccoon · 36-40
I use the diva cup. By far the best thing I've used. Way cheaper in the long run, more hygienic, better for the environment.
SW-User
@caccoon if it's that good I'm gonna give it a try but i have same questions as @iamelijah
caccoon · 36-40
@iamelijah @SW-User I just empty mine every few hours.

It comes with an instruction booklet 😊

Takes some getting used to but I'll never go back. All that stinky trash in the bathroom 😩 GONE
SW-User
@caccoon u r so cuteeee

I'm gonna try it next month 😃
I used to use tampons until i had the coil fitted and now tampons are really uncomfortable
SW-User
@SW-User yeah the Mirena coil
SW-User
Both, depending on the situation
SW-User
@SW-User me too. When im home i prefer pads
