That's at the higher end of the scale and is supposed to be a rate which allows your body to better handle the changing amounts of skin (so you are less likely to look like the "biggest loser" people who need "plastic" surgery to remove huge bits of loose skin).

If you were overweight and needed to lose that much it is good, but it does seem a lot.
