Motivation doesn't last. You need a dose of it every day!!!

I get it through my online feeds. Subscribe to fitness and nutrition blogs. My reddit feed is chock full of motivation and so is my pintrest and twitter. I have several fitness oriented youtube prople I like as well.

It has to be a priority and you have to want it like you want to breathe. I know it sounds obsessive but in my case I kinda have to be.

@Doomflower ok this sounds fitting for me as well, I'll give it a try

The motivation has to be there from the start, in the long run you cant force yourself to do something you dont want to

For me personally it’s been that each day adds up to better or worse.

So reminding myself that eating good today or working out today brings me one day closer to a healthier happier life.

17lbs down now

Regarding weight loss, weighing myself frequently so I could see the progress (or lack of progress) I was making kept me motivated when I lost weight a few years ago.

@DDonde really? The nutritionists told me to weight me only once a week and not daily
DDonde · 31-35, M
@Prodaki That makes sense because you'll get minor fluctuations in your weight from day to day that have nothing to do with weight loss. Once a week is okay too if that works for you.

I did it by breaking the exercise up throughout the day. Rather than working out until I was exhausted, I'd get up and do 10 squats or push-ups, sit back down for an hour, and then get back up and do 10 more. Just started doing more reps as it became easier and it's been working pretty well!

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit yeah, to improve the knee muscles I should do an exercise called "knee-to-elbow", she didn't suggested it presonally but said that I should do exerecises that makes me move the knees a lot
Prodaki · 31-35, M
@thepreposterouspanda I guess I'll try that, but still I need to keep the motivation without having it disappear in a couple of days (as it usually does)

@Prodaki yeah my husband’s surgeon said he’d lose more mobility without using it as much as he can
