I used to have one.

When I was young I had a motorcycle and I loved it. I sold the one I had a very long time ago to buy a family car before my son was born. I miss having a motorcycle and get jealous of the ones I see out and about. I am afraid of bringing up wanting one because I know I will get midlife crisis throw at my face. It is not a midlife crisis I just want one again.

@SW-User Motorcycle forever.
Is your wife allowed to have major purchases comparable to that motorcycle? If so, then this should be no different and no, it’s not a midlife crisis. It’s one of few things that make you happy in this hard life

@DecafD With anything major like a vehicle it is best to talk it out or else it may not go over well. She is allowed to shop and do what she wants.
@afterlight sure I get it- big purchases should always be discussed with your spouse. Hey, maybe she’ll like the idea of riding on the back and enjoying the fall weather

I can't imagine having to ask permission to spend my own money. I will never marry.

@Eternity It is not so much permission but with large purchases with a joint account it is best to talk it out first.

@afterlight ah a joint account. That makes sense then I guess. So long as you're not putting in vastly more than she does.

It never leaves your blood.
Once you fall in love with riding... It rarely goes away.

@OogieBoogie You feel very free.
@afterlight you do!

For a while.... Life slips away, and it's just the road and the curves. 💜
