It can be different for some vehicles. The low mark on one of my pickup trucks is add a gallon. The other pickup is a quart. My old Mazda RX is add a liter. What kind of car is it?

It's the same. Add one quart. If your hood won't pop open, try tapping where the latch is and then popping it again.

@Coralmist Okay. Like Samuel said, make sure to start the engine for about 5 seconds and recheck.

I usually add a quart, but you have to give it time for it to settle in the pan

@vetguy1991 ok thanks, perhaps Ill add a little under a quart

add one quart, then be sure to warm the car up and recheck. Too much is no good either.

I'd play it by ear adding maybe a half quart at a time

Put in the quart. If your engine is using oil, it makes sense. and be sure to check it on level ground(not saying you didn't do that).

If the level of the oil is between the two lines, your vehicle has enough oil. If it's at the low mark or below, it's time to add a quart
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@Lilnonames Its at the L. So one quart you think?

@Coralmist yes
