What was the longest vacation you ever had?

Where did you go? What did you do? Tell us all about it. 馃檪
Raffiki22-25, F
Not sure if it鈥檚 the longest but I鈥檓 about to go away for almost 4 weeks. To Spain, mostly in a villa with a few trips out for a couple nights to see other places (incl. Portugal). With my kiddo, dad and siblings, with a few other family members dropping in for a week or a few days throughout. Should be fun! :)

@Raffiki I'm envious, but not jealous ... wishful is the word.
Will you send general photos of the views and the "News @8" Updates.

4 months . I had a flirtation with retirement. We went to the farm, and from there we flew up to South Carolina. The Deep South is so beautiful. Then I came home and tried my hand at being a kept woman . It didn鈥檛 take and I went back to work.

@TexChik you should have given it longer. I totally enjoy not having to work where my only responsibility is to provide a nice home with good food for him to come home to every night.

@saragoodtimes I am self employed now . They are getting my offices ready to go and should be ready in a couple weeks .

We never had more than 2 to 3 weeks. We were always limited by our various employments. The longest we had was three weeks, when the ex was disabled. I was able to get 3 weeks off.

We couldn't afford to do anything expensive, so we went camping. The car broke down during the trip, of course...馃ぃ.

When we finally got going again we camped at Mohawk Trail State Park and did little day trips.

@Stereoguy Okay, you HAVE to do some good research before you go!

10 days. Flew to London. Stayed with friends. Toured London, but best part was roaming the countryside and visiting ancestral sites in Kent.

I still use a tent most of the time and with my bicycle I can get camping sites cheaper, that works for me. Lately even that has been to hot .
You don鈥檛 have to go far to give the feel of new adventures.many wonderful things in nature is free just have to enjoy them.@Stereoguy

Depends what you mean. I normally 'staycation' during my annual leave from work (stay at home). Longest I've been away away (not at home) is 2 weeks.

@Stereoguy we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Too many places to call favorites.
This country has so many wonderful places to see.
Utah is gorgeous.
We did most of highway one. Such a beautiful drive.
Yeah...the whole trip was my favorite.
I had the opportunity to see my aunt in texas. Hadn't seen her for years prior.
I felt fortunate to have had that chance. She died of a major heart attack just few months later...

@Stereoguy no, it took me a few weeks to get out of post travel blues when I came back home. I'm not sure I can handle that without wanting to move to Brazil
