A Barrister, or Queen’s Counsel, earns an average of £240,000 a year according to the Law Society. Hardly a food bank candidate.

@meJess Not all barristers are Queen's Counsels. It's true that QCs can earn ridiculous amouts but the average barrister doing legal aid work (that's most of them) is paid a pittance.
