Single people of SW, how long will it take for you to give up all hopes and dreams of finding someone who loves and cares for you?

DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F Best Comment
This website no cap makes me never want to get married. All the older people do is paint this picture that everyone cheats and gets tired of each other

😅 maybe if we get married when we’re 40 we will have less time to get sick of each other

I don't know if I've given up.
But I've certainly given up on someone I was dating...
I don't like men who don't share the load.
I don't like men that are selfish.
I don't like men who try to use tactics to let me know he's in charge.
I don't like men that try to put me down with backhanded compliments.
I don't like men that try to portray themselves as being nice whilst they're not.
I also don't want a man that wants me to fetch and carry for him like the little housewife, especially when he's not upholding his side of that traditional set up.
So I've not given up but I'm into finding a man that doesn't do what I listed above.

@SW-User I don't really want to get into a rant but there's is a lot of aggression towards women.
I find men are in fear of being taken the piss out of and consequently take the piss first.
I think being a man in modern society is tough.
But being a woman dealing with that man is even worse!

Well I just started having hope again, so I don't know how fast it'll take to run out this time. I feel like I have a lot more maturity and emotional awareness than I used to, which does give me a foundation I feel like I can build on.

If I had to guess, I'd say it'll take a few years. Maybe 3 or 4. I never planned on making it this far in life, so nothing is ever really certain

As long as it takes and even after

You can try to quit but that would be a lie. You'd just end up hurting yourself. That's how it went for me.

I find it easier to just accept it. That faith and hope would always be there. And as long as we have faith, then we can dare to dream even of those that feel like impossible dreams. It's a very good thing my God is a God known for making the impossible possible.

I'm well on my way.

I gave up already years ago.
I've never had a relationship in my life, and there has never been one single person interested in me.

So the chances that things will change, now, where I'm old, is more than cero, to be realistic.

@Loretta78 happened for my godmother as 64
I gave up hope already.

I don't think I can stop dreaming.
SW-User
I have. I think. Miraculously.
