There are beaches we visited around here in Toronto. But the last time I enjoyed saltwater was in June 2019 at Mallorca, Spain.

I went to VA Beach last month for a few days. The first day was nice, but the next two were cold, windy, and rainy. It was still nice to get away, plus I had an oceanfront room, so I could see the ocean from my bed. I may go back after Labor Day.

We live a few miles from the beach, but we seldom get on the sand. We prefer to eat at a restaurant overlooking the water, especially sitting outside to enjoy the sea breeze. We did it three weeks ago.

not since i was around 11 or 12 yrs old in Perth Australia but where i'm living now it is close to a canal and lock system at the docks , i feed the Seagulls , Squirrels and Sparrows there too

I just came back from the beach. I have been going every day for the past 2 weeks but I'm vacationing. :)
I agree with everything you say except that it is refreshing. The salt water and the sand and the constant sunscreen make me feel damn filthy, lol.
