How many times have you been pulled over by the police?
And was being a delivery driver useful for getting out of a ticket? I've been pulled over 3 times. Once for speeding when I had a very late delivery. I had seen them giving tickets out earlier but when I told them I was delivery pizzas they told me I was free to leave. The second time an under cover officer had been patrolling an area and thought I looked suspicious because I passed them three times. They pulled me over for a "rolling stop" but immediately let me go once I said I was delivering. Finally, I was driving around looking for a house and pulled into the wrong drive way. After pulling into the next drive way an undercover car raced over and blocked my exit, ran out and asked if I was "lost", then saw I was delivering pizzas and immediately left. Have you ever been pulled over? How does / did it make you feel?
I’m writing this because I get pulled over a lot. I think so far this month I’ve been pulled over 4 or 5 times. It’s often when I’m working. I have to drive for a living and sometimes travel a fair distance from home. I’m finding it really demoralising. They always say it’s just a basic check or I look suspicious etc, however I don’t really know what that means or why I’d fit the bill.
I’m nearly always breathalysed and sometimes drugs tested too. I genuinely don’t know why it happens so much, but I feel kind of deflated being treated like I’m a criminal. Interested to know if anyone else goes through this too. My friend and I were driving (she was driving, I was the passenger) after going to Dairy Queen. It was probably 10pm. There's a bend in the road where the speed limit reduces to 40km/h from 60km/h. She gets pulled over, starts panicking as the cop asks for her license and registration. Turns out she'd forgotten to turn her lights on and was going too fast around the bend. Considering how nervous she was, I'm surprised the cop didn't think we were up to something. I just sat there eating my ice cream through the whole ordeal. My experiences which there's been a few I won't bore you with. If you haven't done anything or its a very minor thing, your attitude will usually determine the outcome. If u have done something minor or anything, attitude could might possibly help but not likely. if you know the silver bracelets could be coming. I would highly recommend you stay civil, never resist and immediately exercise your right to shut your trap! I would never ordinarily post a link to an hour long video. https://youtu.be/d-7o9xYp7eE But if your gonna watch one, this strategy has kept countless guilty people walking free. IMO its one of the best videos on YouTube. I still remember this story from my HS days. The father of one of my classmates was a police officer, him and the family were driving somewhere down south, I wanna say one of the Carolina's, when they got pulled over. My classmate's dad pulls out his wallet to get his license and his badge "just so happens" to be opposite his license, he showed it in such a way so that the cop saw the badge. The cop goes "What do you think you're doing showing me that? You think that's gonna help you here? Don't ever flash your badge again like your something special." I forget now how much the ticket was but from what I recall the cop made sure it was a big fine.
I got pulled over by a coworker for speeding. The signage wasn't posted, and I had just started working in that city 5 days ago. I had been in town for 6 days total. He laughed at me, let me go, and didn't tell anyone. In the same situation, I also give other drivers a break for that same thing. If the street speed limit isn't posted every few miles, I can't really blame someone for going 10-15 over. especially if it's in some non-neighborhood dirt road in the middle of nowhere. That was the only time I have ever been pulled over in my life. My driving record is perfect- no points, no tickets, nothing. I've been in a vehicle driven by an off duty cop when we were pulled over for doing 85+ in a 65. Driver gave his cop ID to the Highway Patrol officer along with his DL. The HP made a snide remark about LEOs being a good example to other drivers on the road and sent us on our way with no ticket.
