I heard that after the fire in Marshall, Colorado, people were standing in line trying to get space heaters. I used to own one when I lived in a non-insulated house built in the 1700's a few years ago. The windows were single pane, and the wind would blow in off the harbor like icy fingers going straight to my feet.
I used to put on my coat, and my ski pants, but my feet just couldn't get warm until I bought that heater!

Are those expensive to run?

@Spoiledbrat Not in a small space. The thermostat turns the heater off whenever it reaches the desired temp, so as long as there is no major draft the heater only runs for about 4-5 minutes out of every half hour.
