Do u use Tik Tok or Instagram ? 💻

I don’t use tik tok, but my oldest does. She sends me funny or neat clips and she’s gotten some recipes and book recommendations off there. I don’t think it’s inherently evil - you just have to not check your brain at the door when you go in. Like most everything I suppose. I have an instagram. I like to look at artists’ work and yoga tips and routines and photographers. A few recipe pages. Some friends. People seem to put their joy there - the ones I look at anyway. I have seen some that are just pitifully shallow or ridiculous, but then my trash may be someone else’s treasure. 🤷‍♀️ My youngest hasn’t much interest in social media, and I’m just fine with that as I do think it’s particularly toxic for children.

Tiktok is awesome! There are so many vulnerable and open humans sharing their stories. It’s like all social media... you have to pull the weeds to allow the flowers to grow.

I only use Instagram for business and Facebook still is a better platform for me than Instagram 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just today read a girl was rescued from somebody she didn't want to be with by making a Tik Tok hand signal for domestic violence, so I guess it's not pure evil.

Nope. I don't use any of the big social media sites. Google knows far more about me than is healthy; I don't need any other companies sniffing everything I do.

I think it is evil it gives kids excuses to do really dumb sht for a second or two of fame. But In saying that I have a friend that is a comedian on TikTok so I get on and support his videos.
