@Valerian Perhaps the most devastating figure would be how many dead people that we knew. I don't have a figure for the average number of people a person knows, but it would be an interesting calculation.
I'm only a teen, but I expect I've met 2,000 people so far. If so, this could mean that I've already lost at least 4 to covid.

Okay. Let me play Devils advocate here for a second. Since there seems to be a convergance of right wing stupid and anti vax/anti mask belief......Is it really in the nations long term interest to encourage those people to get vaccinated and take sensible steps to protect themselves?😷

@TeenAngel Aye.. Theres the rub.. One has to view these innocents as collateral damage. Clearly inhumane. But I cant see anyone taking these children from their parents and vaccinating them, then giving them a good education. And the ability to think for themselves. Without which they are more than likely to end up like their parents.😷

It's almost like a new paradigm of false info and conspiracy. I'm glad I got my vaccine. Even though this vaccine isn't a 100% effective, no other vaccine is either, like for the flu. Doesn't mean people shouldn't get it tho.
It's very crazy how some people also balk at mask wearing, even though they are worn by medical professionals for a reason.

@soar2newhighs yeah, hospitals can be pretty bad, esp the floors. Sick people congregate there
But the last thing we need is to regress in sanitary measures to appease the ignorant, making the germs already present worse. If I have to go to a hospital and go under the knife, I don't want a knucklehead doctor saying how he can't breathe with a mask on or how he doesn't believe in sanitation
