@LithiumDrop It's a load of nonsense. Some police forces have been a touch over-zealous, that's all.

@MaryJo1996 I would rather that they were a little over-zealous and we survived than they were touchy-feely and we died.
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
@Glossy Never argued one way or another on that.

@Jm31xxx I've read stories on the BBC and many other news organizations in the UK about this..
Police following Walker in the park with drones.
Dying the water colors to discourage people from going..
Some police are going to extremes.. guidelines are not legal orders

@Jm31xxx a few local authorities hassled local shop owners, before the Govt clarified that if a shop was considered essential and could therefore open, then it could sell its normal full range.
A mixture of unclear Government directions and overzealous policing, but not really a major drama, and sensationalising it probably isn't helpful in the current situation?
Just my view.

But what if I needed a pen to write my shopping list of essential items.

That's just plain stupid

@SW-User It's basically bullshit. 👍

No, some forces have been a little over zealous. It is by no means happening all over the country.
Stop spreading fake news.

@Jm31xxx "The police in the UK" gives the impression it's all of the police across the country.

@PSuss1 Take it down. Simple. He's spreading fake news.

i felt nervous strolling down this dark alley. many potential dangers, a fleeting thought of running home to safety but before i could i saw him. a shady masked man in a black cloak. he looked like death its self. fighting back tears and a frog in my throat i asked him "d'd'do you have it." i held out my hand offering him what few notes of currency i had left. Don't let him see you shaking i thought.
with a steely unblinking gaze into what i thought was my very soul he pulls out an envelope and as a breeze takes away leaves in the wind my money was gone. "YOU NEVER MET ME" he said, fading into the darkness.
i ran back to light, back to freedom back to safety.
i opened the envelope.....smiled a sigh of relief before tucking it into my jacket.
i hope my little sister loves her birthday card.

That is excessive. If the people are out buying food it is logical to buy the other stuff at the same time whilst they are out.
