I have performed my duties. I consider myself done...but while such things were possible, (I have an injured back), I volunteered to give back to my community. I worked with recovering drug addicted mothers and their children as a volunteer. I worked as a volunteer in a food pantry to help the entire community. I worked as a volunteer with my local council for the aging. I didn't do all those things at once, but I did them.

I worked in social services helping first the homeless, and then, later, the elderly.

I worked in my church as coordinator for charitable services to other church members, coordinating meals for the sick, rides to doctor's appointments, packing and moving help for people who were moving, and coordinated the food and service for large events like baptisms and even for a wedding!

I cooked and cleaned and supported my family, raised my son to be a good man, (and he is), took care of my elderly mother while she was still alive, and at I supported our household, (working two jobs once), and earned as much as possible during the five years the ex was actively disabled.

I wish I could still do all of it...but my back is just too painful now.
@4meAndyou amazing feats you need a rest xx

@Seren Thank you. I did what I could when I could do it, so I am done with all the things that are duties. But I hope that you and everyone else who has commented here realize that you don't have to be superman or superwoman. Do some of it here, some of it there, and it doesn't all have to be done at once. 🤗

I got nothin’.

Like there’s stuff I should probably do if I want to make it through in one piece, & stuff I shouldn’t do, ‘cause I’d be someone’s bitch with five minutes of ending up in prison & that doesn’t really do it for me. But as for feeling duty bond to do anything. . . My mind is blank.
