I think you get what you give to a large degree. A lot of the people I see getting bashed online do a lot of bashing themselves. Without knowing the history, it’s hard to know who fired the first biscuit in the food fight. It would be nice if people were better than that, but as a society, we’re just not.

@Fernie ok I think you’re getting into this way too much lol. They call me a redneck because I drink beer, hunt, fish, chew tobacco, almost always wear boots and jeans, and love country music. They call me a hippie because I love all people til given a reason not to, smoke lots of weed and my second favorite type of music is classic rock

I was exactly like you, most of my life. However, since 2015, I encountered so much hate from people on the opposite side of the values spectrum – because my politics are based on my values that I realized I could not be with someone (as in a romantic relationship) whose values were 180 degrees from mine. Skin color means nothing to me, but values and the ideology someone holds does. That’s not to say that I can’t be friendly with people with different views, I can, and I am. We just agree to disagree to keep the peace, but increasingly I find it a rare quality in people who can do that.

I dont think it matters what color a person is or isnt but beliefs are another matter imo and i do discriminate against people who insist on believing or pushing for things i think are wrong.. Not that im not friends with them buy yeah i think less of them for it (And maybe im not friends with them)
