How far down is rock bottom?

I am starting to wonder if it even exists.
I keep waiting to hit it because people say, "The good thing is, when you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up!"
I feel like I have been going down this dark hole for so long...
When will it end?

There is no rock bottom. Rock bottom is when you look at the data years later and say... yeah... that was rock bottom.

Being self destructive in the hopes of “hitting rock bottom” is just selfish.
